Currently serving as a Product Planner in the Data Center Solutions Group at Broadcom, Rick is a 30-year computer and data storage business veteran. He coordinates the majority of standards activities for Broadcom worldwide. Before it was ultimately acquired by Broadcom, Rick spent nearly 15 years at LSI Logic managing a variety of product lines and was instrumental in launching the first 12Gb/s SAS expander in the industry. Rick began his career designing advanced chips and board level systems for Evans & Sutherland, a pioneer in 3D computer graphics. Today, Rick serves on the Board of Directors of the SCSI Trade Association (STA), playing an influential role in defining and promoting SAS technology. Rick received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Utah.
